President Prabowo Subianto once claimed that Indonesia’s current unemployment rate is at its lowest since the 1998 monetary crisis. The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) recorded a decrease in the Open Unemployment Rate of 0.06% in February 2025, compared to the corresponding period last year.
