After lengthy court proceedings and too much drama, the prosecutors of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) were finally able to convince the Panel of Judges of the Corruption Court at the Central Jakarta District Court and managed to punish the disgraced Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo (NasDem). Syahrul was found guilty in the second week of July 2024, but even until after the decision was read, drama followed. KPK appealed to the decision and this week the efforts paid off. The Panel of Appeal granted KPK’s appeal and aggravated the punishment for Syahrul and one other convict, while the punishment for the other convict was only upheld.To subscribe please click here
