In 2019, the Tangerang City Government held a tender for the construction of a Waste Power Plant (PLTSa) and chose PT Oligo Infrastruktur Indonesia (PT OII) as the winner. The construction will be proceed by PT Oligo Infra Swarna Nusantara (OISN). The parties initialy seem optimistic that this project will be successful, given the success of construction of renewable energy power plants in other regions. However, instead of being implemented, the companies involved are facing internal disputes. Now, they are suing each other in two different courts, with claims for damages of up to US$180 million.
