The death of Eliza Princila Utami Pakaenoni, a young physician known as Icha, has shaken Indonesia’s medical community. Authorities are investigating what has been reported as an apparent suicide after she allegedly endured intimidation while treating a critically ill child in the emergency department of Leona Hospital in North Central Timor (TTU), East Nusa Tenggara. Her family believes the incident left her in severe psychological distress, although investigators have yet to establish whether there is a causal link between the alleged intimidation and her death.
