After uncovering the massive alleged corruption in PT Timah’s operational area, the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) and its staff in the affected areas successfully investigated three different cases with a total of 22 suspects. Throughout last year until early this year, 18 defendants have been convicted at the appeal stage in the High Court. However, we cannot ignore the verdict and legal consideration given by the Corruption Court at the District Court which actually raises many questions.
