President Prabowo Subianto appointed Nasaruddin Umar, the grand Imam of the Jakarta’s Istiqlal Mosque, as the new Minister of Religious Affairs. It’s worth noting that Nasaruddin was considered by PDIP as the running mate of Ganjar Pranowo back in 2024 presidential election.
