Arifatul Choiri Fauzi, a female leader of the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), the largest Islamic organization in Indonesia, has been appointed by President Prabowo Subianto as the new Minister of Women Empowerment and Child Protection replacing I Gusti Ayu Bintang Darmawati Puspayoga, a PDIP politician.
