On Corruption in Garuda Indonesia : Interesting Decision

In 2022, the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), Erick Thohir, approached the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) with a corruption report and shocked the public. Erick came with a report on alleged corruption that occurred at PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. The problem is, a similar case has been investigated and tried by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) several years prior and eventually imprison the company’s former President Director, Emirsyah Satar, and Soetikno Soedarjo in 2020. That said, since this case was investigated by the AGO, we have had doubts, and of course the results were disappointing as expected.
