It has been seven years since the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) first announced its investigation into allegations of corruption involving State-owned insurance company PT Asuransi Jasa Indonesia (Jasindo). The lengthy process of investigation and inquisition was supposed to end after the last two defendants in the case were found guilty two years ago. However, the investigation continues. Earlier in 2023, a new trial on allegations of acceptance of graft and money laundering started with the same set of defendants, and they were found guilty again in the same year. We thought that was the end of the investigation, but we’re wrong.
