Shortly after his inauguration, the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOE/BUMN), Erick Thohir, announced the dismissal of then-President Director of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA) one I Gusti Ngurah Askhara Danadiputra (Ari Askhara). Later on, Minister Erick dismissed other GIAA directors and the incident brought to fore the management of GIAA. By then, we already know that GIAA is not the only BUMN plagued with corruption. What we did not expect is the way the Ministry handles the “reputation”, by cooperating with the Attorney General’s Office (AGO).
