After going through many obstacles accompanied by various controversies, the Constitutional Court finally decided to reject the Judicial Review application which was registered as case No. 141/PUU-XXI/2023. This application attempts to challenge the decision No. 90/PUU-XXI/2023, a decision that allows the participation of Gibran Rakabuming Raka, mayor of Solo and eldest son of President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, as a vice presidential candidate accompanying the patron of Gerindra and current Minister of Defense, Prabowo Subianto, who is a presidential candidate in the upcoming 2024 election. With this decision, the controversial decision No. 90 remains in effect, as is Gibran’s candidacy.
