PT Dok dan Perkapalan Kodja Bahari (Persero) (PT DKB), State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) engaged in the construction of new vessels also maintenance and repair of vessels, have been under scrutiny in recent years because of allegations of corruption in several projects the company was working on. The Attorney General’s Office through the regional prosecutors’ offices, which was the first to conduct an investigation, was also criticized for allegedly extorting witnesses in one of the cases back in 2019. This week, four defendants in a case under investigation in South Kalimantan were acquitted by the court. Meanwhile the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is also conducting its own investigation and announced a familiar name as suspect.
