Astra International (ASII), one of the largest employers in Indonesia, booked profit attributable to owners of Rp17.4 trillion in the first half (H1) of 2023, down 5.5% year on year (y/y), while net revenue grew 13.3% y/y to Rp162.4 trillion. The substantial correction on fair value adjustments on investments in technology firm Goto Gojek Tokopedia (GOTO) and hospital operator Medikaloka Hermina (HEAL) impacted on the lower bottom line.
