Earlier this month, the Government announced their decision not to renew the management license for Block 15 Gelora Senayan, the area over which The Sultan Hotel & Residence currently stands. For decades, the management of the hotel was PT Indobuildco and since the hotel was founded, disputes between the government and the company have been going on. Hotel management is tinged with various problems including allegations of corruption. In several disputes examined by the courts, the government won.
