We begin 2023 with news that the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) has named five suspects in the BAKTI case, the case related to a project at the Ministry of Communication and Informatics. A lot of interesting things emerged in the process of examining witnesses, including the alleged involvement of Minister Johnny Plate’s relatives in the vortex of this crime. Later, we learned that the relative in question was Johnny’s brother. The Minister finally answered the prosecutors’ summons and was examined all day on Valentine’s day, Feb. 14, 2023, and the latest examination was conducted this week. Meanwhile, Gregory Aleks Plate, the Minister’s brother, reportedly decided to return the benefits he received in relation to the case. Aleks’ decision to return these benefits seems to justify his involvement, unfortunately (or fortunately), his actions do not erase/eliminate the crimes that may have been committed. To subscribe please click here
