The former Minister of Marine and Fisheries, Edhy Prabowo, and the others involved in the corruption related to export of Clear Lobster Seed (BBL) were found guilty in 2021, one year after the scandal was uncovered. The sentence for Edhy was aggravated at the appeal stage by the High Court, but later the Supreme Court decided to “amend” the sentences previously given. This entire process was carried out far from the media coverage that caused a commotion recently. What caught our attention was that one of the Justices who decided this case was Gazalba Saleh, who is now a graft suspect of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
