Three years have passed since Erick Thohir was officially appointed Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN). Minister Erick accepted the position along with the issues that have long haunted BUMNs. Several changes have been visible to the public since then. During the pandemic, for example, BUMNs continued to carry out their role and revive important sectors. The Government provides support through capital injections. However, the companies are not free from problems. Minister Erick directly brought reports on alleged corruption in several BUMNs to the Attorney General’s Office (AGO), this was one of the achievements that made him and the AGO popular. The process of investigation and trial of several cases is still ongoing today. Not only that, the realization of the dissolution of BUMNs that were no longer useful was also finally carried out in a short span of time, the latest was the dissolution of the troubled PT PANN (Persero).
