PT Asa Karya Multipratama (PT AKM), a low profile private company, filed a lawsuit against Sime Darby Plantation Berhad and three other parties back in March 2022. In the lawsuit, the company demanded compensation in the amount of nearly Rp6 trillion including immaterial compensation. The first hearing of the lawsuit was held on Oct. 10, 2022, on the same day, the company legal counsels explained the case from their side of story to the press.
