Four years ago, Wilmar International Ltd officially acquired 51 percent of PT Lumbung Padi Indonesia (PT LPI) shares from Farma International Pte Ltd through its subsidiary PT Sentratama Niaga Indonesia (PT SNI). Since then, legal problems have not stopped troubling the parties. PT LPI had to face several PKPU lawsuits on top of the dispute between Wilmar and Fara Luwia (officially Luwia Farah Utari), the founder of PT LPI. We recently learned that PT SNI had filed a police report against Fara with suspicion of fraud. Fara fought back. She filed a police report and claimed ownership of a trademark used by PT Wilmar Padi Indonesia (PT WPI).
