The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) must face a defeat in the Pekanbaru Corruption Court on February 23, 2017 after the Panel of Judges decided to acquit the Regent of Rokan Hulu, Riau, Suparman (Golkar) from corruption charges. Suparman was named a suspect on the case of alleged bribery related to the discussion of the draft of the Province’s 2014 and 2015 regional budget (R-APBD).
