To commemorate Indonesia’s independence day on August 17, 2016, the Government granted remission to 82,015 inmates all over Indonesia. Simultaneously, the Government also revived the plan to amend the requirements for granting remissions as currently stipulated in Government Regulation (PP) No. 99/2012.
