The Indonesian government plans to adjust the requirements for the employment of foreign workers (TKA).The ministry is currently conducting a revision of the Regulation of the Minister of Labour (Permenaker) No. 12/2008 on Procedures to Employ Foreign Workers. This revision would increase the number of requirements to be met by a foreign worker before accepted to work in Indonesia. The Minister of Labour and Transmigration Hanif Dhakiri told the press that his ministry will apply Bahasa Indonesia Ability Test for TKA wanting to work in Indonesia.
