GARUDA INDONESIA — Flag carrier airlines PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk (GIAA) has on Monday (June 15) signed Letter of Intent (LoI) with France-based plane maker Airbus related to its plan to acquire 30 787-9 Dreamliners, as well as up to 30 737 MAX 8 airplanes. The agreement is part of GIAA’s revitalization program and to support the airline’s future plan to further expand its global reach. In addition, the flag carrier also reconfirmed its intent to purchase 50 737 MAX 8s, originally announced in October 2014. The airline currently operates more than 90 Boeing airplanes, including Next-Generation versions of the 737, 777-300ERs and 747-400s. To subscribe please click here
