The composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) closed higher 0.1% at 5420 on Thursday (April 16), but trade was volatile. Investors focused on buying shares of Berau Coal Energy (BRAU). The stock jumped 13.79%. Profit taking hit this stock as it soared 24% in early morning trade. Investors accumulated BRAU after the report that the Sinarmas Group, through Asia Coal Ventures, plans to acquire BRAU for a possible US$309.81 million bid.
