The Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) gained 0.24% to 5361 this early morning trade. Coal stocks led the market’s gain. Adaro Energy gained 1.02%, Bumi Resources rose 1%, Bumi Resources Minerals jumped 3.95%, and Berau Coal surged 8.1%. Investors are prompted to collect coal stocks following the report that the government had cancelled the application of customs exit for coal. The government opts to boost coal production for boosting the state revenues from coal and the mineral sector. The government might thus raise the royalty tariff for coal from current 13.5%.
