Asian equity markets joined Wall Street’s slump on Tuesday after oil markets resumed their downward spiral. Both Brent and U.S. crude tumbled 4% to new five-year lows overnight on the back of bearish forecasts, Reuters reported. On Monday (Dec. 8), composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended lower 0.85% at 5144, but closed off its low. Investors focused selling off coal stocks, with Bumi Resources and Berau Coal dropping more than 10%. Delta Dunia lost 5.43%, Bumi Resources Minerals slashed 3.17%, and Adaro Energy declined 2.23%.
