One businessman revealed to us recently of how he and fellow importers of meat should pay Rp2000 per Kg for the so-called ‘coordination fee’ to a business association. With annual import of more than 100,000 tons, these guys paid more than Rp200 billion per annum. Nobody believes any business association utilizes such a big amount of ‘coordination fee’ for its own activities.
