Financial statements of Sumber Alfaria (AMRT) and Erajaya Swasembada (ERAA), two of the largest retailers in Indonesia in convenience stores and ICT products respectively, confirmed further downfall of margins in the retail industry. AMRT, operator of Alfamart outlets, reported net profit margin of 0.6% only in the first half.
