World Steel Association, which collects data from 65 steel producing countries responsible for 98% of total world crude steel production in 2013, reported crude steel production of 124.99 million tons last month, inched up 0.6% from February 2013. China, which produces roughly half of the world crude steel output, posted 0.4% growth only.
