The Indonesian government obligates companies providing services to the public to have its data center in Indonesia. The mandate is stated on Government Regulation Number 82 of 2012 on Electronic System and Transaction (henceforth GR 82/2012) for the purpose of law enforcement and protection. But are they ready to enforce what they’re asking for?
