Bank CIMB-Niaga, the fifth largest bank by total assets, booked net profit of Rp4.28 trillion last year, inched up 1.2% from 2012 as its net interest income grew only by 4.2%. The bank is now valued less than its total equity. Bank Tabungan Pensiunan Nasional (BTPN), where TPG, Northstar, and SMBC are shareholders, also reported 7.7% growth only in net profit due to 36% fall of net profit in the last quarter of 2013.
