Plastic News reported last August that Asahi Kasei Chemicals Corp becomes the first company to produce nylon 6/6 compounds locally in Indonesia. Asahi Kasei produces compounds for automotive applications, particularly glass reinforced grades, to tap the growing automotive market in the country. The question, of course, who will become the first to produce caprolactam, main raw material for nylon?
