Cable producers listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) reported strong results last year. Their combined sales revenue soared 53% to over US$1 billion, while gross profit jumped 73.4%. The industry is clearly not as sexy as coal, but generated substantial return on equity (ROE), and in some cases are comparable to major banks in the country.
