China has grown its methanol production capacity from 6.16 million tons in 2003 to 20.6 million tons in 2008 and further up to to 50 million tons per annum this year. Unbelievable! Indonesia, the largest LNG exporter in the world, unfortunately, only has less than 1 million tons per annum capacity.
