Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati has said that the Government would continue to work toward achieving the tax revenue target for this year (Rp1,283.6 trillion), even though only three weeks are left before 2017 comes to a close. That being said, recovery in commodity prices would support tax revenue. Per November 15, tax revenue has reached Rp920.34 trillion or 71.7% of this year’s target. Tax revenue from value-added tax sector grew 14.6%, income tax from individual jumped 46.4%, income tax from institutions rose 17.2%, while income tax from mining firms surged 70% and trade sector increased 37%.
