The rupiah exchange rate last on Friday last week (June 14) fell to its weakest level since April 2020 when the country was hit by the Covid-19 pandemic. This week, the market is waiting for the decision of the Bank Indonesia Board of Governors Meeting (RDG BI) on June 20 2024. And market players predict that the BI rate will be held at the level of 6.25%. However, the movement of the rupiah this week will also be relatively limited considering that there is the Eid al-Adha holiday on June 17 and 18, 2024. The rupiah was traded at Rp16,412 against the US Dollar on Friday last week, down 0.87%.
