Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) oil palm price in East Kalimantan Province have experienced a decrease this month, occurred across planting age groups. FFB price from oil palm trees aged 10 years and over is now at Rp2,629.92 per kg this month, lower than Rp2,634.98 last month.
Internal factors include the decline in prices for crude palm oil (CPO) and palm kernel (kernel) in almost all data source companies. Currently the price for weighted CPO reaches Rp12,003.52, while the weighted average kernel price is Rp6,837.13 per kg. That said, the cooperation between farmer groups and palm oil mills could stabilize the price of farmers’ FFB in line with normal prices and avoid manipulation by middlemen.
