Asian shares ended in the green to start the week as investors welcomed news that Beijing and Shanghai started to loose restrictions, as China reported the lowest number of coronavirus infections since early March on Sunday. Beijing reopened some shopping malls and and most public transport resumed in the main business area and companies in Shanghai will be able to resume production from June 1st. The Hang Seng outperformed most of its regional peers, adding 2.1% to a six-week high of 21124 with the TECH index soaring 3.9% and the China Enterprises Index rising 2.4%. Shares of Meituan surged 6.8% ahead of the release of its quarterly results. The Nikkei 225 gained 2.2% to 27369, the Shanghai Composite 0.6% to 3149 and the ASX 200 1.5% to 7287.
