The Baltic Dry Index extended losses for a second consecutive session to 3190 on Monday, as commodity prices remain below recent highs and as China tries to temper rising commodity costs. The capesize, which tracks iron ore and coal cargos of 150,000-tons, was down 1.9% to 3,953; and the panamax index which tracks cargoes of about 60,000 to 70,000 tons of coal and iron ore, fell 1.1% to 3,505.
