Global stock markets ended mixed on Thursday (Jan 28), with United States (US) stocks recuperating some of the losses from the worst sell-off in three months. Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased at a 4.0% pace in the fourth quarter on the macro side. Capping some of the stock market gains were weak US GDP and jobless claims data and concerns about a slow vaccine rollout and surging coronavirus cases. On the earnings front, Danaher, Comcast, and Mastercard surprised on the upside.
