Indonesia posted a trade surplus of US$2.62 billion in November 2020, shifting from a US$1.35 billion gap in the same month of the previous year. This was the seventh month of surplus in the trade balance, as export jumped while imports plunged amid the coronavirus pandemic. Export surged 9.54% over a year earlier to US$15.28 billion in November 2020, while import slumped 17.46% over a year earlier to US$12.66 billion. Considering the first eleven months of 2020, the trade recorded a surplus of US$19.66 billion, swinging from a US$3.51 billion gap in the same period of 2019.
