India is investigating into anti-dumping aluminum foil from Indonesia, China, Malaysia and Thailand following complaints from domestic producers. Jindal India, Hindalco Industries, and Raviraj Foils have filed an application before the commerce ministry’ investigation arm seeking initiation of the investigation.
Last May, the South Asian’ country has run anti-dumping investigation on imports of polyester yarn from Indonesia, China, Nepal and Vietnam to curb the domestic players from cheap inbound shipments. The probe was launched following a complaint by eight domestic manufacturers, including Suryalakshmi Cotton Mills and Suryalata Spinning Mills.
