President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo urged his ministers to accelerate the disbursement of government spending. Jokowi wanted an immediate boost to the domestic economy to cope with the impact of the coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak. The President also instructed his staff to immediately execute social assistance and protection programs such as the Hope Family Program and other government-intensive programs.
