Back in July 2018, we reported the dispute between PT Surya Artha Nusantara Finance (SAN Finance), a company indirectly controlled by PT Astra International Tbk and PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BBTN). SAN Finance sued the Bank and demanded compensation of over Rp150 billion. The dispute is a result of a problem caused by the Bank’s employees (uncovered in 2015). It continues to this day as SAN Finance filed for a Reconsideration (PK) in October 2019. Since then, problems in the Bank began to unfold, and eventually picked the attention of the law enforcement.
