President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo held a closed-door meeting with the Mayor of Surakarta FX Hadi Rudyatmo in Yogyakarta last Friday (Jan. 31). At the heart of their discussion was the 2020 election in the President’s hometown Surakarta (Central Java). The meeting is worth highlighting given that the President’s eldest son Gibran Rakabuming Raka is trying to run for mayor of Surakarta.
