Japan’s Nikkei closed 150 points lower, or 0.64 percent, after the Trump administration sparked trade row on new fronts. President Donald Trump said he will reinstate tariffs on Brazilian and Argentinian steel, accusing both countries of devaluing their currencies. Losses were driven by Maruha Nichiro Corp (-3.40%), Shinsei Bank (-3.20%) and Yokogawa Electric (-2.78%). The biggest rises came from Sony (1.37%), TDK (1.11%) and Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding (1.08%).
