Stocks markets in Asia Pacific were mixed in thin pre-Christmas trading on Friday. Japan’s Nikkei 225 lost 0.2% to finish at 23,816, after data showed the country’s annual core inflation edged up to 0.5% from 0.4% in October, remaining below the central bank target of 2%. Also, the Shanghai composite was down 0.14% to 3,012, at around 02:05 China standard time, following news that People’s Bank of China kept its new lending benchmark rates unchanged.
