Next year, Tangerang Selatan (Tangsel) will also host its election. Siti Nur Azizah, the daughter of VP Ma’ruf Amin is planning to run for mayor in the 2020 Tangsel Municipality election. The 2020 Tangsel election is an open race for the current Mayor Airin Rachmi Diany has served for two terms and thus cannot run for a third.
