Gibran Rakabuming Raka, the eldest son of President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, is not giving up. He’s still seeking a ticket to run in the Surakarta mayoral election through his party PDIP, even though the PDIP Surakarta Chapter has endorsed a pair. Some would rather see Gibran wait his turn until after his father is done with the presidency in 2024. Others see Gibran’s ambition in negative light.
