Surya Esa Perkasa (ESSA), a company co-owned by Garibaldi Boy Thohir and TP Rahmat, is among the best performing companies this year. ESSA, which produces liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and ammonia, posted a net profit of US$4.23 million in the first half (H1) of 2019, grew 11.2% from US$3.81 million in the corresponding period of 2018, mostly attributable to strong performance of its ammonia business.
